National Habitat Women's Build Week

March 9, 2014

National Women Build Week brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children across the globe. Last year 375 Central Florida women volunteered 2,500 hours on five homes and raised more than $130,000 for our mission.

The Mother's Day timeframe was selected for its significance to many volunteers, as families with children make up a staggering number of those in need of adequate housing. More than 12 million children - one in six - live in poverty housing in the United States alone. To date, Women Build crews have built more than 1,800 Habitat homes nationwide.

We are currently preparing for women's build by collecting $1.00 contributions from our shoppers.  Please drop by to help us make women's build in Orlando a success.
