Local Students Help Our ReStore

March 20, 2014

Recently, one of our ReStores was broken into and robbed overnight. After hearing about the unfortunate incident on the local news, a group of local students took it upon themselves to help us out. The Moss Park Elementary School  students decided to coordinate a fundraising project to help replace some of the money that was lost in the robbing of the store. On January 31st, the school held a Chili-Cook off, where people joined to try out different chili’s and vote on the best one, all while donating to Habitat for Humanity. After the wonderful event completed, the school raised over $900.00 for us! The money raised helped greatly ease the pain from such an incident, and we cannot express enough gratitude to the kind kids, teachers, families, and parents who took part in the event.

Thank you to the families, teachers, parents, and kids from North Park Elementary School for helping us continue our mission to build homes in the Central Florida area!
